Visitors of our city can admire a picturesque view of the city with the outlook to the wide surroundings from the The Prague Gate tower, the reminder of the city fortification from the 14th century. Today's form of the gate comes from 1883 when it was rebuilt in a puritan way according to the project by architect Schmoranz. A permanent exhibition of pictures is installed at the gallery of the observation tower 48 m high. These pictures document building changes of Vysoké Mýto since the 1st half of the 19th century. There is also a short-dated exhibition of drawings of historical houses by pupils from schools from Vysoké Mýto from the 60´s and 70´s of the 19th century.
